The girls soccer team is still undefeated following a 0-0 tie against Colonial Forge at the home of the Eagles on Friday night. In 90 minutes of hard-fought action, neither team was able to find the back of the net. Forge had an explosive second half, but had a break away stifled by Patriot keeper Betsy Haugh and another shot deflect off the post. Albemarle had a great opportunity mid-way through the second half, but the forwards were unable to convert on a loose ball bouncing in front of the Forge goal. The girls (13-0-2, 11-0-2 CD) wrap up the Commonwealth District regular season Tuesday night at Riverbend.
