The girls soccer game at Mountain View kicked off 24 minutes after the bus arrived at the field, and the short warm up time seemed to affect the Patriots early on. Nonetheless, the girls battled to come away with the win, as Emily Leytham scored with 27 minutes remaining in the game. The defensive line composed of Katharine Waldron, Anne Brady, Abby Davison, and Joy Piirto remained solid once again in front of keeper Betsy Haugh (three saves). The Patriots (11-0-1, 9-0-1 Commonwealth District) host Massaponax on Friday night in what is sure to be a heated contest.
