The Albemarle girls tennis jumped on rival Riverbend early and never let up putting together a convincing 8-1 win on the road. The Bears returned their entire top 6 from last season's squad and they have improved talent. But even with that line-up they couldn't derail the Patriots who got off the bus aiming to prove they still stand in the way of any team who wants a shot at the district crown. Seniors Megan Napolitano, Ivy Haines, Maddi McCullough and Summer Caton led the way with singles wins and doubles was no different with AHS sweeping the trio of matches. Albemarle takes a break from district competition tomorrow to face crosstown rival Western at home.
