Swim Team Updates

The Boys team quickly ran away with the meet, and continued to spread the gap after almost every event. The 200 Medley Relay of Chase Robbins, 
Tim Webb, Stephen Topping, and Matt Lockman won the event and were 3 tenths away from the state cut. Webb and Andrew Williamson finished 2nd and 4th in the 200 IM. Lockman won the 50 free in a state qualifying time. Topping got 2nd in the butterfly. Lockman then won the 100 freestyle, coming within 2 tenths of going the automatic state qualifying time, Collin Hensien finished 4th. Robbins led Lescault and Cudahy in a 1-3-4 finish in the 500. The 200 Freestyle relay of Lockman, Hensien, Topping, and Robbins won the event, going within a second of the state cut. Topping, Robbins, and Sean Telford went 2-3-7 in the backstroke. In the last individual event Webb, Williamson, Robison finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th, in the breaststroke. And the 400 freestyle relay of Lescault, Williamson, Telford, 
and Hensien came in a close second.

The Girls team had a very strong showing. They were able to stay right on the heels of AA State champion contender Western Albemarle and pull away 
from the other teams to finish second. The medley relay of Holly Harper, Nikki Ross, Hannah Harper, and Kelly Miller finished second with a seasons 
best time. Hannah and Corie Morton went 2-3 in the 200 Freestyle. Hannah finished third in the butterfly. Holly won the 100 freestyle. Abby Wild and 
Mackenzie Jones went 4-5 in the 500. Hannah, Corie, Sophia Brown, and Holly got 3rd in the 200 freestyle relay. Holly won the 100 backstroke in a 
state qualifying time and was followed by Melanie Freshwater and Miller who finished 5th and 6th. And the 400 freestyle relay of Morton, Miller, Jones, 
and Brown finished 4th. Casey Kyriacopoulos also had a strong showing on the diving board, winning the event with a score of 212.65.
