Allison Huschke is a 10th grader at Albemarle with an ALL STATE performance of 8th PLACE in the AAA race at Great Meadow on November 13th with a time of 18:31! (personal record on a hilly, long grass course) – this time is almost a 2 minute improvement over her State Race last year – 20:19 in 2009. Allison is an incredible athlete who leads by example. She is extremely focused and single minded in her training for cross country. She is disciplined and determined each and every race. When she sets a goal, she achieves it – before the race Saturday she told Coach Cathy Coffman that she wanted to run 18:30! Her 8th place finish led the AHS Girls to a 6th place finish at the AAA State meet – highest finish in 29 years (1981 the girls were 3rd) – with Allison's leadership a podium finish (top three) in 2011 is well within the grasp of the AHS girls' XC team.
