Boy's Soccer

Boys Soccer beat Riverbend on Tuesday night. The game got pushed up to 5:15 in hopes to avoid the rain. Riverbend scored first off of a free kick in the Patriots half of the field. Immeadeatly afterward, GoKhan Yetim scored to tie it up. The socre remained tied until after halftime. After a 30 min lightning delay, both teams came out to win. Riverbend had a lucky shot which squeezed past Matt Natale to give Riverbend the lead. With less than 5 minutes left, Daiquan West scored off of a header. Less than 30 seconds later, Albemarle was fouled. Kai Marshall took the free kick which was finished by Daiquan West, making the final score 3-2. Boys Soccer's record is now 6-5-3, placing them in the top four in the District. Next game will most likely be home on Friday with the opponent TBA.
